Louisiana Heron - This heron is moderate to large in size, it has a long slender neck, legs, and toes, long straight dagger-like bill, short tail, and long broad wings. This wading bird will stand motionless in water waiting patiently to eat fish that swim by. This particular species of heron may be blue, brown, or gray in color.
